Career after graduation
Career of graduates of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences Most of the graduates of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences of Kumayaku go on to the master's program at the graduate school. After completing the first semester course, about 10 students will go on to the second semester course, and the remaining 25 students will find employment in pharmaceutical companies. There are many occupations in pharmaceutical companies, but most of the bear drug graduates are active in research or development positions.
Our graduates are active in the laboratories of many pharmaceutical companies, not to mention the four major megapharma (Takeda Pharmaceutical, Astellas Pharma, Daiichi Sankyo, Otsuka Pharmaceutical). In addition, there are many students who find employment in "chemical companies" by making use of the organic chemistry they have acquired. Chemical companies may be unfamiliar workplaces for pharmacy students, but the size of the chemical industry is far larger than that of the pharmaceutical industry (the company with the 50th largest sales in the chemical industry is the 20th in the pharmaceutical industry, The 10th place in chemistry corresponds to the 5th place in pharmaceuticals). In this way, finding many jobs in chemical companies is one of the major characteristics of organic laboratories. Eighty percent of the students in the Department of Drug Discovery and Biomedical Sciences who graduate from our laboratory are hired as researchers. Also, if you want to go on to a doctoral course, most of the students use the special researchers of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and the scholarship programs of each company, so please consult with us if you are interested.

Career of graduates of pharmacy
Many pharmacy graduates work as pharmacists in hospitals and pharmacies. Of course, that is the mainstream in our laboratory, but there are also people who find employment in companies while holding a pharmacist license. Especially from the personnel department of chemical companies, there are always hot solicitations. For those who want to go to a company after graduating from the pharmacy department, I will talk in detail, so please come to the professor's office at any time. Of course, students who go on to the doctoral program after graduation are welcome.
